This is a personal website. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads no content from other services. Fonts and images are served from this site itself. The only personal data involved is described below.

Hosting

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, your browser sends technical data to GitHub's servers, including your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type. GitHub needs this to deliver the site and may log it to keep the service secure. I have no access to these logs.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in delivering this site reliably and securely. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection (Art. 45 GDPR). How long GitHub keeps this data is set out in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Contacting me by email

If you email me, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use this only to reply to you and delete it once the conversation is finished, unless I am legally required to keep it longer. My email is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which processes messages on my behalf.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in answering messages, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if you contact me about a possible contract.

This site links to my LinkedIn profile. It is a plain link: no data is sent to LinkedIn unless you click it. Once you do, LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• ask what personal data I hold about you (Art. 15)
• have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16)
• have your data deleted (Art. 17)
• restrict how your data is used (Art. 18)
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
